4 Taliban commanders killed in Oruzgan and 15 pro-taliban killed as two militant groups clash

At least four Taliban were killed during a joint Afghan and coalition forces operation in southern Oruzgan province, an official said on Monday.

Herat provincial police chief, Fazl Ahmad Shirzad told Wakht News Agency that the operation had been launched in Charchino, district, Oruzgan province where the Taliban rebels had set up a meeting.

The forces then attacked the rebels killing four famous commanders and detaining another, he said.

None of Afghan and coalition troops had been harmed in the incident which the Taliban spokesman had not still remarked about.

15 killed as two militant groups clash

A gunfight between two pro-Taliban outfits in Saifel Darra area of Orakzai Agency left 15 people dead and seven others injured on Saturday, sources said.

They said that militant groups led by Ziaur Rehman and Abdul Nabi were exchanging ‘hostages’ when the fighting broke out.
An eyewitness said that

11 supporters of the Nabi group were killed while Zia group lost four people in the clash. He said that supporters of ‘Commander’ Nabi captured two opponents and took them to an unknown location.

Taliban militants have strong presence in Saifel Darra, some 32km south of Kalaya, the administrative headquarters of the agency.
