Syrian rebel forces rocked by infighting: Al-Qaeda forces murder Free Syrian Army rebel leader
US aid and weapons for Syrian rebels may be threatened after infighting between moderate and Islamist elements in the ranks fighting Assad's forces led to the death of a high ranking rebel leader. Top rebel commander Kamal Hamami was killed by al-Qaeda militants called the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in the Syrian port city of Latakia where the two groups were discussing opportunities for cooperation.
