A video in China has spread that showed the country's aircraft carrier "Varyag" had completed installation of radar system in April this year.
Before this video leaked, a series pictures of the aircraft carrier "Varyag", which is being built at a shipyard in Dalian, China, have been revealed and spread widely.
The great 300-meter "Varyag" was reported to be China's first aircraft carrier.
China purchased the 67,500-ton Varyag, an unfinished aircraft carrier, at $200 million from Ukraine in 1998 under the pretext of reconstructing the vessel as a maritime hotel. However, the purpose of the vessel was changed.
Ukrainian Trade Minister Roman Shpek said the winning bid-$20 million from the Chong Lot Travel Agency Ltd., a small Hong Kong company owned by called Chin Luck company, in April 1998.
