Russia, Iran sign oil and gas exploration deals
Russia and Iran boost their ties by signing a deal for more cooperation in oil and gas exploration. Iran's Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi signed the agreement with the Russian Energy Minister after a session of the 10th Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission in Moscow.
The two countries agreed that Russia would supply equipment to Iran to enable joint oil and gas projects. Iranian foreign minister said Russian companies would get a chance to develop oil and gas fields in Iran, without giving out any names for potential sites.
