Amazing ambush on US Military convoy in Afghanistan

i'm wondering if this is new because i haven't seen it before, any help on the date would be appreciated.

Starts off with an IED,then erupts into small arms fire and RPG's.

I sure hope the soldiers survived this, but it looked pretty bad.

clearly one of the worst ambush vids on a US convoy i have seen before.

RIP to any who died in this ambush,i'm sure US Marines will get their revenge on that location.

Two armed militants fired at Etbar Khan, the head of an anti-Taliban militia of Mohmand tribal region, when he was waiting for some persons along a road.
Khan and his son Irfanullah died instantly. A local resident was also killed in the attack.
Sajjad Mohmand, the spokesman for the Taliban in Mohmand Agency, claimed responsibility for the attack.
Khan had shifted from the tribal region in 2010 and had been living in Swabi district due to threats from the Taliban.
The militants got information on his whereabouts and attacked him, police said.
Police launched a search operation for the attackers but no one was arrested.

The Battle for Bomb Alley - Afghanistan

For four years, thousands of British servicemen fought with the Taliban for the district of Sangin - the most violent part of Afghanistan. The fighting cost 106 British lives, including Staff-Sergeant Olaf Schmidt, who won the George Cross there.

Last year, the British withdrew - handing the area over to the US Marines. Ben Anderson, who was with the British forces in 2007, returns to see if the Americans are faring any better. His remarkable film follows Lima Company, a unit of the US Marines, as they dodge improvised bombs and struggle to reclaim the same territory the British previously occupied.

As the war enters its tenth year, with Sangin still far from secure, real questions remain as to what so many British men died there for.
