HELMET CAM* Canal Firefight
A Soldiers helmet cam during a firefight. This is what is was like everyday in Sanjaray, Kandahar Province while clearing out the Taliban forces. The video was shot by the 101st Airborne Divisions "Black Hearts" during Operation Dragon Strike in the summer of 2010.

ooks like the cameraman fell after getting hit (yeah, I know, they are actualy ussing tripods so it might be a western journalist(or not)).
Somali, African Union troops capture key al-Shabaab base
Somali national army with the backing of the African Union Mission to Somalia troops have expanded their control in the strife-torn capital Mogadishu following an early assault on Friday morning in Daynille district. It was the last stronghold for al-Shabaab which has been fighting the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) of Somalia since 2007.
Friends' in Need Syrian rebels to receive salaries from Gulf states
Saudi Arabia and its allies are thought to have agreed to pay salaries to rebels fighting the Syrian regime. The decision came as around 60 nations - all harsh critics of the Syrian government - met in Turkey to discuss how to bolster the opposition and intensify sanctions against President Assad. The U.S and its allies blame Assad for violence in the country, whereas Damascus says it's fighting armed extremists. RT's Sara Firth has been following the talks in Istanbul.
