NASA Video: Rare giant solar tornado caught on tape
A giant solar tornado - five times the Earth's diameter - swirling at incredible speed of some 186,000 mph has been captured on video by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory.
This is the first time giant solar twister has been caught on video.
Solar tornadoes, known as solar prominences, are shaped by the sun's magnetic field and often occur during coronal mass ejections -- huge explosions of solar plasma. The speed of swirling solar gases can sometimes reach several thousand miles per hour.
This 124,000-mile-tall tornado was filmed on September 25, 2011, but the video was only released to the public at the National Astronomy Meeting in Manchester (UK) on Thursday.
Xing Li, an astronomer at Aberystwyth University in Wales, believes the finding is a "real gem of an event to fire the imagination, and it is a good way to study magnetic structures in the sun's atmosphere."
Scientists believe that study of solar tornadoes will help understand the causes of space storms in general, which is still one of the great mysteries of our solar system.

Failed rocket launch - IDF mobile air defense Missile
Iron Dome (Hebrew: kipat barzel) is a mobile air defense system in development by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 to 70 kilometers away whose trajectory would take them to a populated area, in all weather conditions. The system, created as a defensive countermeasure to the rocket threat against Israel's civilian population on its northern and southern borders, uses technology first used in Rafael's SPYDER system. Iron Dome was declared operational and initially deployed on 27 March 2011 near Beersheba. On 7 April 2011, the system successfully intercepted a Grad rocket launched from Gaza for the first time. On 10 March 2012, The Jerusalem Post reported that the system shot down 90% of rockets launched from Gaza it fired at (rockets which will land in unpopulated areas are ignored).
The system is designed to counter short-range rockets and 155 mm artillery shells with a range of up to 70 kilometers. According to its manufacturer, Iron Dome will operate day and night, under adverse weather conditions, and can respond to multiple threats simultaneously.
Iron Dome has three central components
- Detection & Tracking Radar: the radar system is built by Elta, an Israeli defense company
- Battle Management & Weapon Control (BMC): the control center is built by mPrest Systems, an Israeli software company, for Rafael
- Missile Firing Unit: the unit launches the Tamir interceptor missile, equipped with electro-optic sensors and several steering fins for high maneuverability. The missile is built by Rafael.

Mystery White Flash In Krasnoyarsk, Russia 2012
A mysterious boom and a bright flash, which was likened to a nuclear bomb going off, knocked out power in the city of Krasnoyarsk yesterday. Officials as of yet have no explanation of what caused the bright light, but claim it could have been a substation fault. Witness's state it was like a nuclear bomb going off, a booming sound, a huge explosion, and then a very bright light, everything shook, we were terrified. UFO activity has also been blamed on the event, some locals have claimed UFOs were reported in the area around the time of the white flash. Good day good people. This video is like my video "They Came", This time it is not about Earth. It is about our red sister Mars. Like Earth, Mars also left some clues of its history. I spent days looking up and viewing NASA footage and or Photos of Mars. There are plenty to view. The sad thing I notice is some who believe as I do are faking images to make others believe. This in no way helps us prove anything. It makes us who believe look foolish. I am asking you who fake images to stop now if you would please. We have "real" images that can help us move foward. No reason to fake them.
After viewing so many I found a handful in my opinion to show we are not alone, and we never have been. When you zoom in on the "Mars face" it looks human, when you zoom out it looks human plus Lion. We can also see structures and pyramids and some other enigmas Mars holds all over the red surface. I also used a few clips from my last video "Docking with Mars" since it was blocked from Germany for what ever reason. Also I am not saying all that I did not use from the web were not real I just was not sure if they had been touched up. I believe when we here on Earth stop fighting each other we will make it to Mars. We will find life is still on Mars or life no doubt once was on Mars. Keep reaching for the truth good people. A lighthearted President Barack Obama on Wednesday joked that although he had landed in Roswell he could not disclose if extra-terrestrials had done the same in a flying saucer in 1947."I announced to people when I landed that I come in peace," the US leader said, mocking an expression attributed to alien species in numerous works of fiction, including the animated blockbuster comedy "Toy Story."

The footage, a composite of images captured by the Solar Dynamics Observatory and processed by scientists at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, has quickly garnered attention on YouTube, where viewers are suggesting it shows a UFO spacecraft refueling by sucking up solar plasma, or at the very least, the birth of a new planet.
However, according to NASA scientists, the feature is actually a little-understood, but frequently observed, type of solar activity called a "prominence," and the way it is situated beneath another solar feature gives it its otherworldy appearance.
The thread extending from the lower left edge of the sun in the video is known as a "prominence," a feature containing cooler, denser plasma than the surrounding 3.5-million-degree Fahrenheit corona, said Joseph Gurman, project scientist in the Solar Physics Laboratory at NASA Goddard. It isn't yet known exactly how prominences develop, but these dense plasma loops can extend from the sun's surface thousands of miles into space.
"When prominences are that extended in height above the limb [edge of the sun], it's usually a sign that they're about to erupt, as this one did," Gurman told Life's Little Mysteries."

Solar UFO Collects Plasma Then Engage's Warp 2012 HD
Some have suggested that this object is a plasma ball or natural phenomena that is quite common during solar storms etc. In this video you can see the object is in rotation with the suns orbit, as the object comes into view you can quite easily see that it is not a natural plasma sphere or solar gas, it is a solid and defined object. We can also see a flash, possibly a sun flare then the object is seen to detach itself from orbit, and seems to accelerate at warp speed considering its size, away from the sun. We can also see a smaller object come into view just after the sphere speeds away, is it an image artefact, glitch, or is it another UFO, if it is then its bigger than planet Earth. What's going on guys, any info, insight would be appreciated.

On March 12, 2012 Sunsflare posted a video asking if anyone could identify a circular object seen in SDO coronal images. The video was also posted on Facebook with the same question posed. I answered the question on facebook but here is a more detailed response and discussion of the observation. The object seen is a coronal cavity associated with a filament. There was also an eruption of the filament with a CME.

First sighting occurred as i was skywatching facing East..Clear day with no cloud's in sight....I notice a flash high in altitued.So I quickly grabed my camcorder for a close observation..And began filming this glowing object.When zooming in,I was surprised to see this Red glowing UFO..It was clearly no aircraft..This object was traveling SouthEast high in altitude.Making it hard to get a good shot....I pan back to find a reference point,ended using the top of some trees.As i began to zoom in you can clearly see this was no aircraft.It was an extremely RED glowing object traveling high in altitued..
Second sighting happend As i was sky-watching looking West....I notice a large glowing object.This time I had my tripod When zooming in this unknown object appear to be glowing.This object was clearly no aircraft or weather-balloon.As you can see on the video this object seems to be traveling at high altitude.While i was filming unknown began to Emit it own glow extremely bright.It did not seem to reflect the sun's ray's,It seemed to be glowing.It took me by surprised,I did not expect to witness something. .These Glowing UFOs were clearly no aircraft's/ weather-balloon or satellite...

"About a week from the 15th anniversary of the 'Phoenix Lights' event , a new set of lights has national UFO investigators taking a close look at the skies over the Valley.
In two clips totaling about four minutes, a Valley resident videotaped an eye-catching series of lights in the night sky over north Phoenix near Cave Creek.
The person who recorded the "V" shaped object and several witnesses with him turned the video over to the Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON .
The Phoenix chapter of MUFON has possession of the two video clips, and according to MUFON Arizona Director Jim Mann, the agency has an investigator assigned to the case.
"It could be nothing, it could be something, we just need to find out," said Mann.
Some believe the lights are nothing more than a kite with LEDs attached or
some type of radio-controlled airplane with LEDs.
It's not uncommon, Mann told ABC15, for most UFO reports to be debunked or simply explained.
The person who recorded the video provided a detailed statement to MUFON and said the object emitted little sound and was not moving very erratically.
So is it a prank? Or is it some type of toy like a kite with lights attached? Or is it an unidentified flying object? MUFON plans to find out.
The sighting comes just as a new documentary on the 'Phoenix Lights' sighting is set to be unveiled at a Scottsdale movie theatre Sunday .
The documentary is said to include new information, new witnesses and a question/answer session from several researchers regarding the appearance of the lights over the Valley in March of 1997. "
