Iran developing radars with 3000 kms range, detecting satellites & UAVs




Iran has organized the second conference on radar system technology; Iran's latest achievements in production of modern radar systems and operational requirements in air and naval fields were among the main topics discussed during the event. Addressing the conference, Iran's defense minister Ahmad Vahidi announced Iran is developing radar systems which are used to detect satellites, which will become operational in the future. In the past couple of years Iran has somehow become self-sufficient in the production of radar systems, which are considered as a key element in any war. Now Iran mass produces medium and long-range radar systems, whose technology is only in the hands of a few countries in the world. Meanwhile, Iran has equipped its air defense units with advanced radars capable of detecting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Aside from achievements in radar systems Iran has also recently unveiled a new indigenous fighter jet called "Ghaher-313 which is a super advanced military aircraft. The new single-seat bomber has been manufactured based on state-of-the-art technologies and modern defense achievements. In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in defense sector and achieved self-sufficiency in essential military hardware and defense systems.
