"When the explosion happened it felt like an earthquake, then a giant golden mushroom of fire appeared. This tells us that Israel used depleted uranium shells," the source said.

Depleted uranium is a byproduct of the production of enriched uranium for use in nuclear reactors. It is 2.5 times as dense as steel, which allows it to penetrate heavy protection. The material is known to be toxic, but not dangerously radioactive.
Syrian state television claimed the bombing occurred around a military research facility at Jamraya. The New York Times reported that the strike also targeted the bases of the elite Republican Guard and storehouses of long-range missiles.
A Western intelligence source told Reuters the attack targeted "stores of Fateh-110 missiles that were in transit from Iran to Hezbollah," while a senior Hezbollah source denied to Kuwaiti daily Alrai on Monday that the weapons targeted belonged to his organization.
Another high-ranking Syrian military source told the Times that dozens of elite troops stationed near the presidential palace in Damascus were killed in the Israel strike.
Israel Did not Notify US of Bombing Mission in Syria
Israel informed the United States of the preemptive counter terrorist operation after the attacks.
President Barack Obama gave Israel his full support Saturday, stating that Israel's right to defend itself necessitates it to prevent Hezbollah getting its hands on the Iranian Fateh-110 missies that can reach deep into Israel from southern Lebanon.

The airstrikes come as Washington considers how to respond to indications that the Syrian regime may have used chemical weapons in its civil war.
Syrian officials are already calling Israel's actions a "declaration of war."
One thing is clear: Netanyahu is not waiting any longer for Obama to act. Israel is taking the lead in protecting its own national security.
Israeli officials see Syria imploding, and Iran, Hezbollah and other terror forces moving into the vacuum.

Isaiah 17 New King James Version (NKJV) Proclamation Against Syria and Israel
The burden against Damascus.
"Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.
2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They will be for flocks which lie down, and no one will make them afraid. 3 The fortress also will cease from Ephraim,
The kingdom from Damascus, And the remnant of Syria;
They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,"
Says the Lord of hosts.
4 "In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane,
And the fatness of his flesh grow lean. 5 It shall be as when the harvester gathers the grain, And reaps the heads with his arm; it shall be as he who gathers heads of grain
In the Valley of Rephaim. 6 Yet gleaning grapes will be left in it,
Like the shaking of an olive tree, Two or three olives at the top of the uppermost bough,
Four or five in its most fruitful branches," Says the Lord God of Israel.
7 In that day a man will look to his Maker, And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel. 8 He will not look to the altars, The work of his hands;
He will not respect what his fingers have made, Nor the wooden images nor the incense altars. 9 In that day his strong cities will be as a forsaken bough
And an uppermost branch, Which they left because of the children of Israel;
And there will be desolation. 10 Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation,
And have not been mindful of the Rock of your stronghold, Therefore you will plant pleasant plants And set out foreign seedlings; 11 In the day you will make your plant to grow, And in the morning you will make your seed to flourish;
But the harvest will be a heap of ruins In the day of grief and desperate sorrow.
12 Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas,
And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!
13 The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters; But God will rebuke them and they will flee far away, And be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind,
Like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. 14 Then behold, at eventide, trouble!
And before the morning, he is no more.This is the portion of those who plunder us,
And the lot of those who rob us.

UK preplanned war on Syria?
According to former French Foreign Minister Roland Dumas, the United Kingdom had pre-planned the death and destruction in Syria to bring about regime change in the country.
The statement by Dumas came during a recent interview with French Parliamentary TV network, LCP.
"I'm going to tell you something. I was in England two years before the violence in Syria on other business. I met with top British officials, who confessed to me that they were preparing something in Syria," said Dumas.
He continued by saying, "This was in Britain not in America. Britain was organizing an invasion of rebels into Syria. They even asked me, although I was no longer minister for foreign affairs, if I would like to participate."
Turmoil has gripped Syria since March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of Syrian security forces, have been killed in the unrest. In May, under pressure from Britain and France, the European Union lifted an arms embargo on the militants in Syria, while maintaining other sanctions on the Syrian government.
