War on terror

Kenya's neighbors in the horn of Africa have endorsed the military offensive against al Shabaab mounted by Kenyan and transitional federal government forces in Somalia. After a two-day emergency meeting in ethiopia, igad's council of ministers called for several measures to help in the offensive including a naval blockade of Kismayu and a no-fly zone over parts of southern Somalia. Meanwhile, at least 44 people have been reported killed after several air strikes on two al-shabaab training camps in the lower Jubba Region.
