U.S. Navy Fleet Engage Russian Fleet In Sea Battle off Syria

A Middle East News ageny reports that a large Russian fleet was detected as it sailed past Malta in the Mediterranean sea. The US state dept. had issued a stern warning to the Russian ambassador to the US for the Russian fleet not to enter the combat zone last week. A Russian nuclear attack submarine reportedly attack and sank a US frigate operating off the coast of Libya. In retaliation the US 5th fleet launched a massive air & cruise missile attack against the Russian fleet.

Reports coming from al jazeera, the BBC & other networks state that a major sea battle between the US 5th fleet & the Russian fleet that entered into the Mediterranean sea. The Russian fleet consisted of approximately 18 warships. Including one Russian vertical takeoff aircraft carrier, 2 Slava battlecrusiers, 1 Kirov Class Heavy cruiser, 6 DD, 3 Nuclear submarines & an amphibious assault battle group with 6,000 Russian Special forces. In the past 2 weeks the US had beefed up it's US 5th fleet with 2 additional carrier battle groups & at least 8 nuclear submarine.

A 2nd Russian submarine attempted to pentrate & attack a US carrier battle group. Anti Submarine warships engaged & sank the Russian submarine with the loss of the entire crew.
The US 5th fleet then launched a massive air strike against the rest of the Russian fleet as it pasted Malta. British forces in the Mediterranean sea area launched attacks against the Russian warships as well. A British nuclear submarine the (HMS Triumph) has been credited with sinking one of the two Slave Battlecruisers. The Russian vertical takeoff aircraft carrier believed to be Admiral Kuznetsov. She was believed to be under going modernzation, but the Russian gov. sent her to sea several weeks ago. Due to the on going tentsions in the Middle East. She was spotted by a US nuclear attack submarine, which radioed her postions to the main US carrier forces.

The Admiral Kuznetsov was then hit by a massive wave of US fighter bombers from the US 5th fleet. The Admiral Kuznetsov, the remaining Slave Battlecruiser & 3 Russian DD were sunk. Israeli fighter bombers struck the Russian amphibious assault battle group. At least 6 amphibious assault warships were hit & sunk in the Israeli air attacks. Estimated Russian losses at this time are between 8000 to 10000, with another 4000 missing.
