Foreign Minister of the Syrian Arab Republic, Walid al-Moualem, gave a frank speech during the General Assembly Meeting on October 1, 2012. In this speech he mentioned the names of the countries who are the main supporters of the terrorist groups in Syria, namely the United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, France and Libya.

He wonders why nations that were fighting terrorism are now so blatantly supporting terrorism in Syria.

He also asks the countries the world to support the Geneva Communique which called for nations to convince both parties to start working on a dialogue.

Mr. Moualem also questions the reasons for the EU- and US-sanctions against the Syrian people: why would the Health-sector suffer from sanctions?

On top of all that he talked about the only nuclear power in the middle east, namely the country of Israel, who has nuclear war heads which are not inspected by the I.A.E.A. at all. He also reiterated Syria's support for the Palestinian cause and the return of the Golan Heights to Syrian Territory.
